Irene Todd

Irene Schanzle Todd was granted her angel wings on April 2, 2011 at the age of 90. She was born May 29, 1920 in Carmi, Illinois and was a longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Ben A. Todd, Jr. and three children, Margaret Stewart (Tim), Kelly Todd (Sherry) and Caroline Todd. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Anne Todd; four grandchildren, Jessica Messier, Carolyn Messier, Amy Holmes (Kevin) and Leslie Edwards (Bruce); one great grandchild, Hadley Holmes. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
