Howard Stobbs

Howard Ray Stobbs passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, after a brief illness in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was 76 years old.

Ray was born on February 3, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He had attended Calallen. Ray was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked in the oil field starting at a young age along side his father Howard Herman Stobbs. Ray continued working in the oil field for many more years. He was dedicated and a hard worker. He will be loved, missed, and remembered for the many lives that he touched.

Ray is preceded in death by his mother, Eva (Mullins) Stobbs in 2007 and father, Howard Herman Stobbs in 2014; brothers, Steve and Luis Stobbs.

Ray is survived by his sister, Kay Weddle (Tommy); brother, Eddie Stobbs (Heather); sons, Johnny Stobbs (Crystal) and Eric Stobbs (Marjetta); daughters, Mary Kay Romero (Eric) and Candus Villarreal (Marty); 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10:00AM at Sawyer George Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Habitat for Humanity or Wounded Warrior Project.
