Herbert dedicated 36 years of his life to the Valero Bill Greehey Refinery, where he worked diligently and made lasting friendships. His commitment to his career was commendable, and he leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.
Outside of his professional life, Herbert was a man of many passions and interests. He had a love for cooking, always delighting those around him with his culinary creations. His volunteer work at Driscoll Children's Hospital and KEDT showcased his generous spirit and desire to give back to the community. Additionally, his membership in the Commemorative Air Force and his patriotic passion reflected his deep love for his country.
In his leisure time, Herbert enjoyed watching the History Channel and indulging in episodes of NCIS. He had a keen intellect and a curiosity for the world around him that drove his love for learning and exploration. Herbert's educational journey took him to Midland, Texas, where he pursued further studies at Texas A&M and obtained an Associate Degree in Engineering.
Above all else, Herbert was a devoted husband to his beloved spouse, Juliet Welch. Their bond was strong, built on a foundation of love, respect, and shared experiences. He cherished their time together and held Juliet close to his heart. Additionally, his fur babies, Guadi and Benny, brought him immense joy and companionship, adding warmth and comfort to his days.
Herbert had a warm and inviting personality, always ready with a smile and a kind word for those around him. He had a gift for making others feel welcomed and loved, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
