Henry Joseph Majefski, 91, of Robstown, Texas passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Windsor Calallen. He was born on August 19, 1925 in Yorktown, Texas to Willie Mae and Frank Majefski. Henry lived most of his life in Corpus Christi and Robstown, Texas after serving in the United States Navy. He was the owner of Ace Auto Parts in Corpus Christi, Texas for many years until his retirement. His passion was auto racing and Nascar. Henry sponsored numerous cars at CC Speedway, where he and his wife Dolores could be found every Saturday night during racing season. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at get togethers at the river. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Danny Kurtz, his “youngest son”, for being so good to daddy for many years. We would also like to thank Gloria Welty, his long time friend and companion, and the employees of Windsor Calallen for taking such good care of daddy for the past eight months. Henry was a very special person and loved by many for his wit and very colorful stories. Henry was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Frances, their son, Carl Henry, and his wife of 47 years, Dolores. He is survived by his son, Chuck; daughters, Sharron (Gary) Miller and Debra (Mike) Whitfield; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas. Pallbearers will be, Clay Bludau, Shane Whitfield, Clint Bandfield, Ty Martin, Doug Orrell, Bob Washmon, John McColgan and Chuck Cummings. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your favorite charity.
