Helen Marie Orsak

Helen Marie Orsak, 69, of Corpus Christi, was Heavenly embraced on July 27, 2023. She was born on January 13, 1954 to her parents, Johnnie and Irene Jedlicka.

Helen Marie Orsak lived a life full of joy and love. She loved baking, sewing, decorating, family gatherings and holiday celebrations; especially Christmas!! Her love for gardening led her on a long journey as a Master Gardener. She enjoyed volunteering her time in many aspects. Helen volunteered over 2,000 hours as a Master Gardener at the Botanical Gardens, and in addition, she also volunteered at St. Peter's Catholic Church and numerous youth groups. She educated youth on gardening and "living off the land" with her ability to grow anything and make it beautiful. The most beautiful thing she grew was her family. She took great pride in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; she would consider them her greatest accomplishment in life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Orsak; parents, Johnnie and Irene Jedlicka; brother, Johnnie F. Jedlicka; nephew, Steven Jedlicka and son-in-law, Jimmy J. Huckman, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Alan (Kynda) Orsak, Amanda Orsak, Aaron (Stacy) Orsak; grandchildren, Candice and Dylan Huckman, Leah and Easton Orsak and Emma Orsak; great grandchildren, Jimmy and Gael; brothers and sisters, Liz (Claude) Mazoch, Rosie (Floyd) Srubar, James Jedlicka, Cathy Coufal and Patrick (Sharon) Jedlicka and sister-in-law, Vivian Jedlicka as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, from 5:00PM-7:00PM, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at St. Peter Prince of the Apostle Catholic Church at 10:00AM with the interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Robstown, Texas.
