Hazel Farris

Hazel Frances Farris, 87, went home to be with the Lord after a long illness. She was born November 9, 1927 in Hartford, Missouri to Joseph Franklin Swopes and Cynthia Emma Carter. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Riverside. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers and three sisters. She is survived her daughter, Donna Kay Young of Alaska; her sons, Larry Wayne Farris of Pleasanton, Texas and Keith (Danette) Farris of Round Rock, Texas; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 9, 2015 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, September 10, 2015 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Matthew Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to Sunny Glen Children’s Home, P. O. Box 1373, San Benito, Texas 78586.
