Gwendolyn Deason

Gwendolyn Elaine Deason was born on October 7, 1944  to Virgil and Evelyn Williams in Houston Texas. She passed away at her home on August 7, 2022 at the age of 77.

Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Edward Deason of 61 years; son, Dwayne Deason and wife, Ria Deason; sister, Pam Stakes, several nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

She was a strong and compassionate woman of many talents and interests. She was a self taught artist, painter, sculptor, musician and lover of all plants and animals.

One of her lifelong passions was embracing her native American heritage by studying, sharing and living native American teachings.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
