Georgia “Peach” Vrana Blumberg 98 was received by Jesus on April 7, 2018 after a long and healthy life. Born to Ignac and Emily Vrana on October 4, 1919 in Moravia, Texas, Lavaca County. Preceeding in death besides her parents and siblings; husband Rudolph”Tot” Blumberg; son, Frank Richard Blumberg (Irene in Corpus Christi); daughter, Mary Moran Closs. Surviving children: James Leo Blumberg (Olivia) Ruidosa Texas; Dr. Rita Bernadette DeShields, Libby Montana; George Michael Blumberg (Sandi) Sequin Texas; Gary Allen Blumberg (Elaine) Robstown Texas, 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren 6 Great Great Grandchildren. Georgia and Tot Blumberg were charter members of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Sandia/Lagarto Texas. Being a rosary maker, a member of both Altar Societies, Czech Heritage Society, Cub Scout Den Mother, Georgia spread her love of service to others. Her generous gifts of baking, especially kolaches, gardening, canning, quilting, bee keeping, crocheting and praying for others, she will be long remembered. Her greatest joy besides going to church, was being with her family, listening and dancing to Czech music and to the songs of her husband and sons. Pallbearers will be the Grandsons. Rosary on Friday April 13 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Holy Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Sandia/Lagarto Texas. Burial at Lagarto Cemetary. In lieu of flowers family suggests a donation to St. Francis of Assisi Church,303 FM 534. Sandia Texas 78383.
