Gary Joseph Duge, 53, passed away on February 26, 2011. He was born on October 22, 1957 and graduated from Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1976. He served in the Air Force for four years then worked and retired from GTE/Verizon after 25 years of service. He became a devoted Catholic and was a member of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Gary loved salt water fishing, playing Texas Hold `Em and hunting on his property in Papalote, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Duge. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cindy Duge; daughter, Tammera Duge; son, Barry Duge; grandson, Brayden Duge; his father, Edgar Joseph Duge (Pat); brother, Michael (Tanya) Duge; mother and father-in-law, Ervin (Betty) Menn; numerous, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 3, 2011 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome as Celebrant. Interment will be at 3:00 Thursday, March 3, 2011 in the Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, Texas. Pallbearers will be his brothers-in-law, Carroll Teschendorf, Donnie Menn, Frank Menn, Allen Menn and cousins, Scott Yariger and Mike Kocian. For those who desire the family has requested donations be made to the St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church Religious Education Programs.
