Fred passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, May 25th surrounded by his Texas family. He was born November 25, 1939, to Frederick and Bertha (Kraus) Loeffler in Wildwood, New Jersey. After high school, Fred enlisted in the United States Army. On returning home to Wildwood, he honed his skills as a master carpenter and used that knowledge for most of his life. In 1975 Fred moved to Texas. He was on the crew that built Captain Boomers now Laundry's. Fred went on to work as a guard at the Beeville County Jail. Fred then went on to work as a vessel traffic controller for the Port of Corpus Christi.
He is survived by his daughter Betty Ann Walsh, his sisters Luretta Undercuffler and Linda Dunbar, His niece and caregiver Dana Simpson (Kurt) and his stepchildren Cindy Reeves and Charles Hogan. He is also survived by three grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren , and his nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Phyllis, his daughter Kathleen Loeffler, son Louis Haner, nephew L/Cpl George L. Dramis and niece Jamiee L. Pearce.
