Fred Schroeder

Fred Schroeder, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 18, 2023. Fred was born in Robstown on May 2, 1950 to Grant and Irene Schroeder.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends out at the deer lease, the Frio River, or at home. He was passionate about hunting for elk, deer, or hogs. Fred loved being around others whether sitting around a campfire swapping stories or cooking a big breakfast for his family and friends.

Survived by his wife, Ryka Schroeder, his two daughters, Carrie (Ryan) Nelson and Tamara Schroeder, his stepdaughter, Ginger (Joshua) Anderson, and stepson, Richard Johnson; siblings Dean (Linda) Schroeder, Peggy (Duane - deceased) Schroeder Bull, Richard (deceased) (Mary Lou) Schroeder. He was also survived by his grandchildren Schroeder Nelson, Mackenzie Nelson, Devin Dews, Eryka (Alex) Amaya and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service for Fred at 10:00 am, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to a charity of your choice in Fred’s honor.
