Frankie Newkirk

Frankie C. Newkirk, age 88, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away October 24, 2013. She was born December 7, 1924 in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. Frankie was a member of Arlington Heights Church of Christ for the last twenty years and was employed with Basin Industrial X-Ray and a receptionist for several doctors in the Corpus Christi area. She was preceded in death by her parents, Essie Carson, Hoyt and Hazel Bobbitt. Frankie is survived by her children, Bobby Newkirk, Judy (Stephen) Worsham, Marion (Kathryn Ann) Newkirk; brother, John (Eileen) Bobbitt; nephews, Mike, Sean, Brian, Kelly; grandchildren, Terry, Dave, Eric, Carla, Lori, Tracy, Stacy; twelve great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with David Srygley officiating. Interment will follow in the Robstown Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the New Century Hospice.
