Francis "Frank" Clement Malik, a long-time resident of Robstown, Texas, joined his Savior June 8th, 2012 in Charlottesville, Virginia. In his words, "I want to go home," and so he did. Frank was born in Granger, Texas, November 22, 1916, the son of Czech immigrants and the youngest of 7 children. Frank was a kind, gentle and loving man, devoted to his church, his family, his farming career and his community. He leaves behind, in both Virginia and Texas, many friends of all ages. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Rochus & Antonio (Strmiska) Malik, his brothers and sisters: Tom, Mary, Lilly, Joe, Agnes and Rosie and his daughter Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Wanda, their daughters, Sharon (James), Georgia (Jimmy), Mary Jane (David), Frances Lynn (Cecil), their grandchildren, Caroll Jean (Russell), Roy John, Wesley, Tamara, Annette (Gerald), Sarah, Stephanie, Ivy Jane and Corbin and great grandchildren, Jason and Shelby. Funeral arrangements will begin with a Rosary at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, TX @ 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, June 14, 2012. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his honor at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 16602 FM 624, Robstown, Texas at 10:00 A. M. on Friday morning, June 15, 2012 with Rev. Msgr. Michael Howell as celebrant, followed by burial at the Robstown Memorial Park, Robstown, Texas.
