Francis Burditt

Francis Allen Burditt, Jr., 76, was born July 3, 1933 in Robstown, Texas to F. Allen Burditt and Kathrine Parr Burditt and passed away Thursday, February 25, 2010. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Burditt of Lockhart, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Parr of Lockhart and Robstown, Texas, a sister, Betty Lou Burditt, and in 1987 his wife of 33 years, Judy Rambo Burditt. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Kathy) Otahal and Mrs. Ed (Brandy) Shores; three grandsons, Timothy Allen Otahal, Ross Burditt Shores and Jack Burditt Shores; and one granddaughter, Kathrine Cecilia Otahal; favorite cousin, Lee Parr Phipps. Allen graduated from Robstown High School in 1950 and attended Texas A&M and S.W.T.S.T.C. He was a retired farmer, a life long resident of Robstown, Texas and member of First United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, February 27, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Robstown with Pastor Barbara Dyke officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. L. A. “Larry” Stone, Roger Ross Butler, George Wayne Paschal, Cecil Wright, Bill Harwell and David Hoffstadt. Among his close friends were the late J. E. “Corky” Thompson, Bennett Hefte and Bob Milstead. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the First United Methodist Church in Robstown or to their favorite charity. “......is the only thing in the world that amounts to anything, for tis the only thing in this world that lasts.” G.W.T.W.
