Frances Ann Naismith Boatright, 79, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was born July 17, 1934 in Wamego, Kansas to James Sherman and Frances Pomeroy Naismith. Her grandfather invented the game of Basketball and her father started Naismith Engineering. She loved the Lord with all her heart and loved people. She attended several churches and was involved with numerous ministries. She was a member of Aglow International and also supported many children around the world through Compassion International. She graduated from W. B. Ray High School and earned her Bachelor of Education from the University of Texas in Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Mark Daniel Boatright. She is survived by her husband, Mody K. Boatright, her children, Carolyn Ann Moore, Judy Lee Boatright, Nancy Jane Amundson, Diane Jean Boatright and David Mody Boatright; her brother, James (Beverly) Naismith; 26 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral service. The Funeral service will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at First Baptist Church Chapel on Ocean Drive with her brother, James Naismith officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 4 P.M. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Glenrest Cemetery in Kerrville, Texas with Rev. Bubba Stahl officiating.
