Floy Lee Hoelscher completed her journey here on Earth with Rose Lee by her side, on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at the age of 83. She was born in Violet, Texas, February 17, 1931. She retired after working 40 years for PPG and Memorial Medical Center. During that time, she served in the Navy with the ASW unit #703 in Dallas, Texas for 10 years. After retiring, she volunteered for Annaville Fire Department running a brush truck, fighting fires and having fun. Some of her favorite past times were archaeology, group traveling and gardening. She is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert J. and Regina; her sisters, Leona, Dorothy and Tina; and her brothers, Walter, Jerome, William and Francis. She is survived by her twin sister, Rose Lee; her sisters, Geri (John) and Mary Louise; and her brothers, Raymond (Judi), Richard and Edgar; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. The holy rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel, 12497 Leopard Street, Corpus Christi, Texas. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 3918 County Road 61, Robstown, Texas (Violet, Texas). Burial will follow the mass at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Violet, Texas.
