Evelyn Havran, 76, passed away at her home after a long illness on December 24, 2011. She was born July 4, 1935 in Robstown, Texas to Edmund Jacob and Mary Lottie Moravek Havran. Evelyn worked for G.T.E. for several years and was a past owner of Evelyn's R.V. and Mobile Home Park. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was a shareholder of the Robstown Community Hall. She was a very loving and devoted mother, MaMaw and great grandmother. She was a caring friend to so many and had a special heart to help people in need. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Tim) Brown; her true partner in life, Kenneth Rogers; her mother, Mary Nemec; her grandsons, Scot (Michelle) Brown and Shane (Ravyn) Brown; three great grandsons, Brooks Brown, Spencer Stallone Brown and Jackson Stallone Brown; three great granddaughters, Makayla Brown, Bailey Brown and Blakely Brown; one sister, Ginger (Earl) Logue; one brother, Jody Havran; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Michael Howell as celebrant. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Odem, Texas. Pallbearers will be Scot Brown, Shane Brown, Joey Hominick, Earl Logue, Chad Logue and James Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hominick, Jr., Jerry Hominick, Charles Barrett, M. P. Wright, IV, Spencer Stallone Brown and Jackson Stallone Brown. The family would like to especially thank Sue West, the home health nurse, for all the special love she gave to Evelyn.
