Evelyn Louise Ewers

Evelyn Louise Ewers, 94, from McAllen, Texas (for the last few years resided in Corpus Christi, Texas) went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 16, 2024. She was born in Hot Springs Arkansas on August 12, 1929 to Zula Elizabeth Murphy and John M. Springer. 

Louise had a passion for painting, sewing, embroidery, crocheting, needle point, fishing, golfing and fell in love with the RV lifestyle. Louise and her husband, Frank, traveled in their RV over much of the U.S. and Canada. They would travel 4 to 6 months of the year before returning home for the winter. La Vida, Colorado was a favorite destination for many years. So many wonderful friends were made during this time.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Zula Elizabeth Murphy and John M. Springer; her husband, James Franklin Ewers, Jr.; oldest son, Karl Allen Schneider; stepsons, Bill Ewers and Alan Ewers. Left to cherish her memories are her children and stepchildren, Kay Cookston (Mike), Robert Schneider, David Ewers, J.F. Ewers, III, Michelle Craig; grandchildren, Ashley Haney (Matt), Mikel Cookston, Tommy John Schneider, Karl A. Schneider, Jr., Brittan Schneider, Jacob Schneider, Richard Ewers and Trevor Ewers.

Louise will be truly missed until we meet again.
