Esther Ehrlich Cooper, 92, passed away on December 8, 2016. She was born on March 25, 1924 in Susank, Kansas to George and Katherina (Bitter) Ehrlich. She was such a hilarious lady. Drove fast, told funny jokes and cooked an awesome turkey. Grew up on a Kansas farm Always worked hard. Her nails and hair were always done. She was an active volunteer for Corpus Christi Visitor Center as a Sparkler, Girl Scouts and school programs. On February 9, 1947 she married Charles L. Cooper from Dodge City, Kansas. They moved to Corpus Christi where Charles was employed as a Marine Engineer. Preceded in death were her parents; George and Katherina Ehrlich, sister; Rose Crilly, brother; Kansas Senator Roy Ehrlich and her husband; Charles L. Cooper. Esther is survived by her daughter; Sandra (Scott) Hopkins and her granddaughters; Angela and Pamela Hopkins. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, December 12, 2016 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home.
