Ervin G. Menn, 81, of Calallen, Texas, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2013. He was born December 19, 1931 in Violet, Texas to Richard Carl and Rose Bernsen Menn. Ervin grew up in Violet, Texas and graduated from Robstown High School. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was an officer in the Robstown V. F. W. Post. Ervin enjoyed gardening, dancing and loved to go to Louisiana to supplement his income. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, R. C. Menn and Maynard Menn, Sr.; his son-in-law, Gary Duge; his grandchildren, Katie Menn and Amber Menn; a great grandchild, Jeremy LeBlanc; and his brothers-in-law, Milfred “Buck” Nesloney and Art Wegeforth. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty Menn of Calallen, Texas; his children, Karen (Carroll) Teschendorf of Houston, Texas, Donnie (Vickie) Menn of Bossier City, Louisiana, Frank (Paula) Menn of Crosby, Texas, Cindy Duge of Robstown, Texas and Allen (Becky) Menn of Robstown, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; his sister, Margaret Wegeforth of San Antonio, Texas; his brothers, Dan (Claudia) Menn of Corpus Christi, Texas and Milton (Celeste) Menn of Dayton, Texas; his sisters-in-law, Betty Menn of San Antonio, Texas and Jo Ella Menn of Corpus Christi, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5 P.M. with the Rosary recited at 7 P.M. Monday, May 13, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown, Texas with Rev. Tom Showalter as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Robstown Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Jeff Teschendorf, Jason Teschendorf, Corey Menn, Barry Duge, Maynard Menn, Jr., Frank Menn, Braden Menn and Danny Menn.
