Emmett Schroeder

Emmett Lee Schroeder, 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Monday, September 13, 2010. He was born September 17, 1931 in Odem, Texas to Emmett Lee Schroeder, Sr. and Lillian Amanda Stein Schroeder. Emmett retired from the Corpus Christi Caller-Times as a pressman after 25 years of service and was active in many activities with children. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, William “Billy” Schroeder. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gerry Schroeder of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sons, David (Betty) Schroeder and Jon (Tonya) Schroeder all of Corpus Christi, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kristina (Kevin) Curtis, Jay Schroeder, Amanda (Ronnie) Russell, Justin Steve (Candice) Schroeder, Dustin (Tiffany) Schroeder, Derrick (Amanda) Schroeder, Amber Johnson and Jesse Burleson; 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2010 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Thursday, September 16, 2010 in Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mack Caffey officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Odem, Texas.
