Ellen Talley

Ellen Mae Talley, age 80, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away April 11, 2010. She was born July 26, 1929 in Young County, Texas to Orville and Clara Smith Green. Mrs. Talley worked at several Chevrolet dealerships in Corpus Christi, Texas from 1949 until 1987. She was a Past-President of B & PW, was a member Christian Women, was a former secretary at Grace United Methodist Church and a faithful volunteer with many organizations. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Barney A. Green and Johnny R. Green. She is survived by her husband of 60 plus years, Marvin Kenneth Talley of Corpus Christi, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. in the Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wright officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to the Memorial Fund of Grace United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
