Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Menn

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Menn 87, originally of Robstown, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2022 in Cypress, Texas. She was born on August 15, 1934 in Robstown, Texas to Frank and Anna Moravek. She graduated from Robstown High School. Betty married Ervin Menn on November 13, 1954 and was married for 58 years. She enjoyed baking and worked at Marilyn's Country Bakery in Robstown. She also loved polka/western dancing where you could find her and Ervin on Saturday nights either at Robstown Community Hall or Robstown VFW. Along with Ervin, she served in the VFW and worked during bingo nights where you could find her behind the grill serving burgers. Betty was a great Mom and “Nana”. Her children and grandkids will tell you she loved to play any kind of games, go to movies or cook for them. Later in life, she enjoyed going to the game rooms where she loved pulling slot machines and making friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Moravek; her sisters, Joyce Bockholt (Leo) and Barbara Vickery; her son-in-law, Gary Duge; grandchildren, Katie and Amber Menn; a great grandchild, Jeremy LeBlanc. She is survived by her children, Karen (Carroll) Teschendorf of Houston, Texas, Donnie (Vickie) Menn of Bossier City, Louisiana, Frank (Paula) Menn of Crosby, Texas, Cindy Duge of Robstown, Texas and Allen (Becky) Menn of Robstown, Texas; many grandchildren and great grandchilren; brother-in-law, Jimmy Vickery of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The funeral will be on Saturday, January 15, 2021 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Robstown,Texas, beginning with visitation at 10:00 am, followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:30 am and celebration of the Mass at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in Robstown Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Teschendorf, Jason Teschendorf, Corey Menn, Barry Duge, Bobby Allaway, Braden Menn, John Mayo and Alex Pierce.
