Elizabeth Burow

Elizabeth Sauvignet Burow passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011, at the age of 86. Betty, as she was known to many of her friends and family, was born in Laredo, Texas on November 1, 1924 where grew up and went to school. In the 1960's, she married Harold C. Burow, and moved to Robstown, Texas. She was a good Christian, a devoted wife and loved the farm she and her husband called home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. Burow; father and mother, Paul Leo and Antonia Peña Sauvignet; sisters Anita Sauvignet Weber and Aminta Sauvignet; and her brother Henry Sauvignet. She is survived by her sister, Ruby Christensen; sister-in-law, Irene V. Sauvignet; and nephews and nieces, Carl Christensen, Rosie Christensen, Henry E. Sauvignet, Ruby A. Sauvignet, Joseph H. Sauvignet and Paul E. Sauvignet. Also, the family would like to sincerely thank Jeff and Traci Klepac for the friendship they have shown Elizabeth. Visitation will be on Friday, September 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home followed immediately by a graveside funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Robstown Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Banquette First Baptist Church.
