Elida Ramirez Ceballos, born on October 5, 1942, in the warmth of her parents' home in Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, and service. A graduate of Calallen High School, Elida dedicated her life to her family and her deep devotion to the Church of St. Mary's Mission in Calallen.
For 75 years, Elida was a pillar of her church community, contributing selflessly from the church's inception. She served in numerous roles, including CCD Teacher, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Catholic Youth Organization Sponsor, member of the Women's Club, and Guadalupana. As a Eucharistic Minister, Elida brought comfort to the elderly and sick, visiting them with care and compassion.

As a homemaker, she nurtured her family with love and devotion, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of her Christmas cookies and tamales. She also found joy in sewing, fishing, and camping, and was always present to support her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in their school events.
Elida is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto L. Ceballos Sr.; her son, Robert Ceballos Jr.; her father, Benito Ramirez Sr.; her mother, Celestina G. Ramirez; her brothers, Benito Ramirez Jr., Felipe Ramirez, and Rene Ramirez; and her sister, Alicia DeAlejandro.
She is survived by her son, Daniel (Maria Elena) Ceballos, Ed.D.; her daughter, Sara Ceballos-Campos; her daughter-in-law, Jeanette Ceballos; and her brothers, Cecilio Ramirez, Martin Ramirez, and Roman (Donna) Ramirez. She leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Elida requested that her grandsons Robert Christopher Ceballos, Dylan Ceballos, Josh Ceballos, Noah Ceballos, Bernardo Campos Jr., and her nephew Mario Ramirez serve as her pallbearers, with Daniel Ceballos Jr. as an honorary pallbearer.
