Edith Mildred Picha Rogers, 95, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 in George West, Texas. She was born October 20, 1925 in Shiner, Texas and was raised in the Clarkwood, Texas area. On September 22, 1945, she married the love of her life, her Marine, Rudy Rogers. Together, they lived the next 48 years on Rand Morgan Road, Corpus Christi, Texas, where they raised their four children.

Edith was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent seamstress, gardener, cook and dutiful wife, helping Rudy with all aspects of his business, Rogers Welding Service.

She is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Julia Picha; brother, George Picha, Sr.; sister, Leona Kocurek; husband, Rudy Rogers; granddaughter, April Rogers and a great grandson, Clinton Ryan Miller.

She is survived by three sons, Jim Rogers of Deer Park, TX, Robert (Laura) Rogers of Carizzo Springs, TX, Allen (Kellie) Rogers of George West, TX; one daughter, Marilyn (Chip) Stroble of George West, TX; sister, Dee Pavelka of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 10:30AM to 11:00AM at First Baptist Church in George West, TX, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00AM. Interment will be at Robstown Memorial Park in Robstown, TX at 3:00PM with Bret Rogers Officiating.

Pallbearers for the services will be her grandsons, Bret Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Ryan Rogers, Clint Rogers, Jeff Chapman and Dalton Rogers.

Edith’s family wishes to thank the staff of Live Oak Nursing Center George West for all the years of devoted and loving care shown their mother.
