Earl H. Nesloney, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 after complications from heart surgery. He was born August 24, 1930 in Nueces County, Texas to Walter B. and Helen M. Calvez Nesloney. Earl was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He ended his working career as a unit supervisor at Hoechst-Celanese in Bishop, Texas after 27 years of service. He was a member of St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, the Model A Car Club and the Sparkling City RV Group. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Frances Nesloney Hoelscher. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Nesloney of Corpus Christi, Texas; his son, Jeff (Kellie) Nesloney of Corpus Christi, Texas; his daughter, Michelle Nesloney of Rockport, Texas; two grandchildren, Amy (James) McCoy of Round Rock, Texas and Ryan Nesloney of Austin, Texas; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Visitation will begin one hour before the Rosary. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 10 A.M. Friday, January 20, 2012 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church on Violet Road with Rev. Msgr. Morgan Rowsome and Rev. Msgr. Seamus McGowan as concelebrants. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum with military honors. Pallbearers will be Ryan Nesloney, Buddy Perkins, Hank Jones, John Pfluger, Gerald Nesloney, Dean Nesloney, Donnie Hoelscher and James McCoy. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the charity of their choice in Earl's name.
