Dusty Ricker Knoblauch passed away while vacationing in Hawaii on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the age of 79 years. She was born to Evelyn and Renard Ricker on March 5, 1934. In 1947 she moved to Corpus Christi and graduated from Miller High School in 1952. She met Hugo Knoblauch in 8th grade and they married February 6, 1954. Dusty was a founding member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the Robstown Area Historical Museum. Other memberships include the Chamber of Commerce, the Nueces County Historical Society/Commission and the Corpus Christi Art Museum. She was instrumental in research, approval and installation of several historical markers in Robstown. She worked at the Robstown Record for 25 years and was a tour guide at the King Ranch and worked in the archives for 20 years. Dusty had a great love for nature, animals and people. She enjoyed traveling, painting, and skiing. She enriched the lives of all who knew her. Dusty is preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Renard Ricker and her grandson, Dustin Knoblauch. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Hugo; four sons, Richard (CJ), Roland (Julie), Ronnie (Brigette), Rance (Jean); two daughters, Dawna (Fred Dickhaus) and Kathy Eichman; thirteen grandchildren, Crystal, Katrina, Ronald, Michelle, Joshua, Cara, Tiffany, Mark, Ashley, Crista, Reece, Jacob and Ryne; four great grandchildren, Addison, Keagan, Naveh, and Samantha. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home from 2 P.M. until 7 P.M. The Rosary will follow at 7 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on FM 624 with Rev. Bill Marquis as celebrant. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, July 15, 2013 at 11 A.M. at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. Donations can be offered to the Robstown Area Historical Museum at P. O.
