Dorothy Garner

Dorothy M. Garner, 76, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Thursday, April 21, 2011. She was born November 11, 1934 in Sandia, Texas to Frank and Frances Payne Henrichson. Mrs. Garner was a former Bee County Queen in Beeville and attended Annaville Baptist Church where she was active in the Giddy Up and Go Gang. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray H. Garner and a great grandchild, Harley Chase Manheimer. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Bill) Kerr of Robstown, Texas, Judy (Buster) Atkinson of Odem, Texas and Linda (John) Mikulencak of Corpus Christi, Texas; her son, James (Laurie) Garner of Corpus Christi, Texas; her brothers, James Marvin (Wanda) Henrichson of Mesquite, Texas and R J (Rae) Henrichson of Winnie, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation with the family present will be from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. Monday, April 25, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Annaville Baptist Church with Brother Robert Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandia Cemetery in Sandia, Texas.
