Dorothy Bockholt

Dorothy Schroeder Bockholt, 93, of Robstown, Texas passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. She was born November 13, 1920 in Windthorst, Texas to William and Frances Wimmer Schroeder. She was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the altar society in Violet, Texas. She was also a member of a women’s quilting circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Bockholt, six brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Bockholt Truesdale and her husband Gregg of Robstown, and Goretta Bockholt O’Daniel of Corpus Christi, Texas; her grandchildren, Dwayne (Corina) Truesdale of Robstown, Texas, Heather Truesdale (Matthew) Schomburg of Katy, Texas, Robert O’Daniel, Mikael O’Daniel, and Brittainy O’Daniel (John) Johnson all of Corpus Christi, Texas; her great grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Edwards, Jake Truesdale, Tyler, Maverick, Miller and Riggs Schomburg, Michelle and David Johnson; a great great grandchild, Michael Edwards. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until 4 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Friday, January 3, 2014 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet, Texas with Rev Msgr. Celestine Murray as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Violet, Texas. Pallbearers will be Gregg Truesdale, Dwayne Truesdale, Jake Truesdale, Mikael O’Daniel, Joe Bockholt and Danny Schroeder. Honorary pallbearers will be Heather Schomburg, Brittainy Johnson, Nicole Edwards, Megan Edwards and Michelle Johnson. The family would especially like to thank Lilly Flores and her staff, Diane and Yolanda, for their special love and care of Mrs. Bockholt during her illness.
