Doris J. Heslep

Doris Jean Heslep from Corpus Christi, Texas passed away on July 28, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 15, 1940 to Jack Friske and Norma Cox Friske. Doris attended Ray High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She had a passion and a green thumb for gardening and was considered the plant whisper by many of her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing and making throw blankets for her family to keep warm. She dabbled in arts and crafts and brought them to life with her painting skills. Doris retired from Nueces Electric Cooperative and enjoyed keeping busy with her hobbies throughout her retirement years. 

Doris was preceded in death by her son Bryan Jensen and her parents Jack Friske and Norma Cox Wilson. She is survived by her husband Robert S. Heslep, Sr.; her son Steven Jensen; her step-children Robert S. Heslep, Jr., Shirley Heslep and Diana Foster; three grandchildren, Stephanie Robbins, Preston Jensen, Royce Jensen, and seven great grand children. Doris will be remembered and missed by all.
