Donald Roberts

Donald L. Roberts Donald L. Roberts, 66, was born on April 10, 1947 in Cotulla, Texas and died at his home on January 21, 2014. Don was employed in 1980 by Whitey Patton, Lonestar Transportation as a truck driver until he retired. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Mary Roberts; son, Laverne Roberts; three brothers, Robert Lee and wife Georgie, Cecil and wife Wilma, and Marvin Roberts. Donald is survived by his wife, Sylvia; sons, Louis and wife Michelle and David Roberts; grandson, David Alex; three brothers, Jim and wife Nita, George and wife Annamae, Harry and wife Annette; sister, Rosemary and husband BF Talkington. The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice and Nurse Elizabeth with Assist Nursing for all their care. Visitation will be on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 pm on Friday, January 24, 2014 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow with military honors at 3:00 pm at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery
