Don Cox

On June 10, 2013, Don was called home after a short illness. He was born September 4, 1949 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Norman and Virginia Cox. He is preceded in death by his baby daughter, Virginia Louise; his parents, Norman and Virginia Cox, brother, John Earl Cox and his Aunt and Uncle, Jack and Cecelia Dunn. Don is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Zieger Cox; his daughters, Christina Williams, Jenifer (Cory) Wilson, Dee (Jerid) Simpson, and his son Chase Cox; grandchildren, Charlie, Lexy, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Jeri and Casen. He is also survived by his brothers, Frank (Ann), Jim, Jerry, Kelly (Theresa) and Paul (Joy) Cox; his sisters, Judi (Rudy) Luna and Patty Cox; numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. He was a very loving man and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Family will be accepting visitors an hour before the service. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be his brothers; Frank, Jim, Jerry, Kelly and Paul Cox and nephews, Johnny Ray Stobbs and Bo Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Cox, Charlie James, Casen Wilson, Lloyd Combest, Daniel Ramirez, Isdell Birnbaum and Doug Webb.
