Diana Hunt Borse was born on September 9, 1940 in Lowell, Massachusetts to Wilbur and Elizabeth Hunt and died in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 27, 2020. She attended Purdue University where she met Alan Borse and they were married on February 11, 1961.
Al and Diana were blessed with a large and loving family as they moved around the Midwest before finally settling in Alice, Texas in 1979. Diana became a mainstay at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church and Parochial School. After raising her children, she enrolled at Texas A&M-Kingsville to finish her education. She earned both a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in English and went on to serve as a Lecturer at TAMUK for many years, retiring in 2011. Diana spent her retirement travelling and enjoying time with her family.
Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Alan, in 2013. She is survived by her children: Cynthia (Neal) Kinard of LaPorte TX, Laura (Allen) Hunter of Calallen TX, Gregory (Sheila) Borse of Monticello AR, Sarah (Kevin) Perkins of Alice TX, Christopher (Deborah) Borse of Denver IN, Robert (Maria) Borse of Dallas TX, Linda (Michael) Verlander of Newnan GA, Emily (David) Labbe of Marietta GA, and Catherine (Todd) Wilson of Coupeville WA; her 34 grandchildren; and her 13 great grandchildren.
In addition, she is survived by her brother, Craig Hunt of Vermont, and her sisters Marcia Nilsson of California and Terry Fonseca of Georgia, and numerous nieces and nephews.
