Dellave Brittain

Dellave "Sissy" Brittain, 84, of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas passed away Monday, November 21, 2011. She was born December 9, 1926 in Robstown, Texas to Hugh Vickers, Sr. and Ruby Caperton Vickers. Mrs. Brittain was a homemaker and a charter member of Central Baptist Church which is now River Hills Baptist Church in Robstown, Texas and was presently a congregant member of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Brittain; her granddaughter, Dawn Urban; her parents; two brothers, Hugh Vickers, Jr. and Roy Vickers; her father-in-law and her mother-in-law, George Brittain, Sr. and Nellie Brittain; her brothers-in-law, George Brittain, Jr. and Douglas Brittain. She is survived by her daughters, Faye (Wes) Atkison, Vicky (Edwin) Miller and Shirley (Larry) Urban; her son, Richard (Karen) Brittain; her brother, Buddy (Treva) Vickers; her sisters-in-law, Zelda Merle Brittain, Carolyn Brittain and Nita Vickers; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation, with the family present, will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Friday, November 25, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 P.M. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with her first cousin, Brother Bob Caperton officiating. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Brad Atkison, Todd Wright, Scott Miller, D'Wayne Lemm, Josh Urban, Reagan Rich, James Oliver and Dereck Wright.
