Deborah Doyle

August 13, 1952 — August 17, 2015

Deborah Lynn Doyle passed away August 17, 2015 after a short, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Charles and Nancy Gallagher on August 13, 1952. She was the middle of three children. Deborah grew up in south Texas, primarily in Alice. After she was married to Thomas Doyle on January 14, 1972, Deborah made her home in Corpus Christi and raised a family. She succeeded in her main goal in life which was to be the best wife and mother she could possibly be. She spent twenty five years working for Calallen ISD as the principal's secretary at East Elementary and Magee Elementary touching the lives of many students and community members. Deborah enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, and rescuing a stray kitty or two from time to time. Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Doyle; daughter, Amanda Taylor; son, Michael Doyle; mother, Nancy Gallagher; sister, Marcia Mann (Jim); and a brother, Chris Gallagher (Deborah). She also leaves behind three grandchildren, Erin, Trace, and Cullen Taylor whom she cherished and other extended family. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Gallagher. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 12:00 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church on FM 624 in Calallen with a graveside service to follow at Robstown Memorial Park cemetery on FM 1889. A reception will follow at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cattery Cat Shelter in Corpus Christi or the American Cancer Society in her name. The family wishes to send out a special heart-felt thank you to the wonderful nursing staff and doctors that cared for her and her family during her time of need. Deborah would like everyone to always remember. "It's those changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes nothing remains quite the same. With all of our running and all of our cunning, if we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane."
