David Martin

David Wesley Martin, 57, of Robstown, Texas, went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 22, 1954 in Robstown, Texas to Claude A. and Lydia Ann Vickers Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Grace A. Lucas of Corpus Christi, Texas and Loretta (Eman) Yazdanipanah of Norman, Oklahoma; nieces and nephews, Katie (Amin) Parnian of Pearland, Texas, Vanessa (Nick) Bergman and Mariam (Bruce) Reynolds all of Yukon, Oklahoma and David (Shamim) Yazdanipanah of Moore, Oklahoma; great nieces and nephews, Beau, Mariah, Ardeshir and Blake; numerous other family members in Texas and Louisiana. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ken Whittaker, Keith Price, Larry Martin, Allen Esparza, Thomas Mullenix and Chris Schubert. The family would like to especially thank Esmeralda Gutierrez and staff with Guardian Angels Caring and the staff of Christus Spohn Hospice for their wonderful care of David.
