David Bernard Koliba I, 86, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2022. He was born September 8, 1936, in Sinton, Texas to Henry Koliba and Lois Jackson. He later moved to Corpus Christi where he met his wife, Janice Webb, and they were married for 44 years. David joined the Army in 1962.
He worked in the energy supply business for a number of years and retired with Sheinberg Tool which serviced the industrial mill supply industry after ten years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family, being outdoors, taking walks, sitting around a camp fire, BBQ’s and his time with his pets.
David is preceded in death by his wife, Janice Koliba; father, Henry Koliba; and mother, Lois Jackson.
He is survived by his son David Koliba II (Bonnie) of Allen, Texas and Chris Koliba (Carrie), of Corpus Christi; brother, Pat Koliba (Shea) of Mathis, Texas; his three grandchildren, Austin Koliba (Kassie); Ryan Koliba and Lauren Koliba and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-7:00pm Sunday, December 11th at Sawyer George Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00am, Monday, December 12th at Sawyer George Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Seaside Funeral Home.
