Ray High School in 1982 where he played center for the Fighting Texan football team. He also loved singing in the choir and played “Curly” in the musical Oklahoma. As a young man he began his construction career at Texas Pipe Fabricators. Then, Darrell dedicated himself to CCC Group Inc. construction company, most recently as a business unit manager. He taught his children, Cole and Hannah, to love hunting and fishing as much as he did.
Darrell is survived by his wife, Lanni, his daughter, Hannah, siblings Larry (Karen), Kathy (Jim Taylor), Ronnie (Wanda), Debbie, mother-in-law Nancy Kramer, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Mary, then his son, Cole, in 2016.
Darrell loved to talk to people anywhere, anytime. He found people he knew everywhere. He was a prankster and a comedian. He lived a life full of work, love and laughter. He will be dearly missed.
