Darlene "Sue" Carver

March 19, 1941 — January 17, 2024

Corpus Christi

Darlene (Sue) Carver, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, surrounded by her immediate family in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Sue was born March 19, 1941, in Joplin, Missouri to Myrtle Marie and Roy Scott Dean. She was married to Hubert Huston Carver and together they were blessed with 4 children. Sue worked as a real estate agent for over 30 years until her retirement. Sue thoroughly enjoyed her career and quickly became one of the top-selling agents in the Calallen area. Because she never met a stranger, she developed many lifelong friendships.

Sue was a hard worker but enjoyed many hobbies as well. She enjoyed painting, traveling, swimming, gardening, and anything outdoor-related. Sue was also very adventurous. It would not be unusual to see Sue white-water rafting or diving in the ocean! She was a very independent woman who was the 'do-it-yourself' type, from painting her house to landscaping her property. It was always a funny sight to see Sue mowing her yard in high heels, straight from the office! Most of all she will always be remembered as a sassy soul with a very loving heart.

Sue is survived by her brother Johnny Dean. Her Children, Scott Carver and wife Polly, Travis Carver and wife Jennifer, Cindy Carver and partner Joe, and Daughter in law, Tammy Carver; 10 grandchildren. Along with many great-grandchildren.

Sue is preceded in death by her mother and father, husband Huston Carver, and son Douglas Carver. Great granddaughters Bayleigh AnnMarie Borjas & Eden Grace Bendett.

A visitation will be held at Sawyer-George Funeral Home on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 9 am to 10 am. This will be followed by funeral services held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Robstown Tx at 11 am.
