Danny Witten

Danny Michael “Mike” Witten passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the age of 74. He was born June 5, 1941 in Pleasanton, Texas to Daniel and Blanche Foster Witten. Mike was a United States Army veteran and served in Viet Nam with the First Calvary and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and the VFW Post. He retired after 35 years service with the Texas Department of Transportation. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Blanche Witten. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Michelle Witten of Houston, Texas; sisters, Pamela Walker of Sinton, Texas, Ava Atkinson of Odem, Texas and Kandee Weir (Frank) of Sinton, Texas; a brother, Timothy Foster Witten (Lene) of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services with full military honors will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, Texas.
