Daniel Edmond Kilgore, Jr. Danny Kilgore was born on November 17, 1956 at Corpus Christi, Texas to Daniel E. Kilgore and Carol Isensee Kilgore. He was educated in the Tuloso-Midway School system. In high school he played basketball and was named to the All-District Team. He was a member of the Warriors Marching Band and in his junior year, represented his school at Boy's State. Danny received a BBA degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. He subsequently attended Texas State Technological College in Waco, Texas, where he received a degree in Laser Electro-Optics, and was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa honorary society. He began work in the semiconductor industry in Sherman, Texas, and for many years, he has been employed by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system, where he repaired high speed electric trains. Danny was a member of Dallas Lodge No. 22 of the Sons of Hermann, and of the Dallas Humanist Group, meeting at the Unitarian Universalist Church. His interest included composing for and performing on the electric keyboard and the acoustic guitar, as well as surfing and camping. His handmade gifts are treasures held by his mother, Carol Kilgore, his siblings Nancy and Christopher Kilgore, his uncle, Dr. Christopher Isensee (Patty) of Durango, Colorado; his aunt, Ray Kilgore of Tampa, Florida; and his cousins, Grady M. Isensee (Carol), Hugo H. Isensee, and Luke O. Isensee, Dr. Sally K. Cooper (Tom), Anna I. Isom (David), Beth I. Welsh (John), William Kilgore (Debbie), Tom Kilgore, Frank J. Kilgore (Judy). Danny died on August 30, 2011 after a sudden illness. Danny continues to touch the lives of his loved ones, and through tissue donation, he will be able to improve the lives of many other people.
