Cruz Rodriguez

Cruz S. Rodriguez, age 89, was called to be with the Lord on September 16, 2019. Cruz Rodriguez was a veteran of the United States Army, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was very active throughout his years, a hard worker and provider for his family. He loved sports, but football and baseball were his favorites. Cruz loved working outdoors and going for drives. He will always live in our hearts and forever be missed by friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his son, Tino Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez is survived by his wife, Adelita F. Rodriguez; two children, Jim Rodriguez (Melissa) and Rita Cruz (Danny); four grandchildren, Michele Galvan (Randy), Jim Ross Rodriguez (Amanda), Jason Anthony Rodriguez and Marisa Danielle Cruz; two great grandchildren, Randy Lee Galvan Jr. and Royce Daniel Galvan; and many cousins, nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Visitations will be from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. with the Rosary to be recited at 7 P.M. Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Sawyer George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be at celebrated at 11 A.M. Thursday, September 19, 2019 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 P.M. Thursday.
