Claude Logan Wiegmann, 85, of Houston, Texas, and a former longtime resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Friday, March 19, 2010. He was born October 10, 1924, in Weesatche, Texas, Goliad County, to Fritz and Rosalie (Fromme) Wiegmann. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Hyacinth Berryhill Wiegmann and his second wife, Maizelle Currans Wiegmann. Claude served in the United States Marine Corps and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and was a long time member of St. John Lutheran Church of Robstown, TX. He was employed by Missouri-Pacific Railroad for 40 years. Survivors include his daughter, Nerina Lyons of Sugar Land, TX; his sister, Jane (Frank) Reuter of Victoria, TX; his step-children, Christine (Jerry) Grimes of Houston, TX, James (Julie) Currans of Beaver Lake, NE, Michael Currans of Bay City, TX; and his grandson, Hal (Monica) Bingham of Las Vegas, NV; many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, relatives, and friends. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. until 7 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at St. John Lutheran Church between Five Points and Robstown next to U. S. Highway 77. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are requested to make donations to St. John Lutheran Church.
