Cezar Lopez

Cezar L. Lopez, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was born March 28, 1934 in Calallen, Texas. Mr. Lopez was a member of St. Mary Mission Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church. He retired after 38 years from the Texas Department of Transportation as a maintenance supervisor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donato H. and San Juana Luera Lopez; his wife, Nila Lopez; his siblings, Elena Ceballos, Antonio Lopez, Luis Lopez, Alvino Lopez, Cuberto Lopez, Mauro Lopez, Ramiro Lopez, Concepcion Zavala and Robert Ceballos. He is survived by his children, Sam Lopez (Diana), Christi Perales (Johnny), Mark Lopez, Monica Flores (Robert), Ron Lopez, Sonya Lopez-Sosa (Greg Sosa) and Max Lopez (Margaret); two sisters, Guadalupe Castillo and Diamantina Maldonado; two brothers, Tomas Lopez and Alberto Lopez; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 P.M. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with Rev. Emilio Jimenez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Robstown Memorial Park.
