Cathy Allen

December 26, 1951 — June 19, 2017

Cathy Lee (Rapier) Allen, 65, lost her battle with cancer and passed away peacefully at home with her family on June 19, 2017. She was born on December 26, 1951 and lived her whole life in Corpus Christi, Texas. Cathy married Ronald Lee Allen on April 4, 2004 and were happily married for 13 years. Cathy graduated from King High School and Del Mar College. She worked at Suntide, Koch Refinery, Repcon Contracting, Central Power & Light Company, J. M. Davidson and Pioneer Oilfield Trucking as a truck driver with her husband Ron. Cathy loved dancing, going on cruises, traveling, camping, gardening, going to lunch with her friends, shopping and driving her little yellow sports car. She was also a member of the Red Hat Social Butterflies, as Cathy was definitely a social butterfly in every sense of the word. Cathy was very dedicated to her mother, being her caregiver until she went to be with the Lord. Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Ada Rapier Hendrickson, father, Leon Hall Rapier and grandson, Austin Matthew Deloach. Cathy is survived by her husband, Ron Allen; son, Joel Deloach; brothers, Larry Rapier and Gary Rapier all from Corpus Christi, Texas. She also leaves behind her Aunt Abbey of Houston, Texas; many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. Friday, June 23, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mike Bender officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 P.M. in Seaside Memorial Park. Cathy’s family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude for the Chaplain, nurses, CNA’s and the staff at River City Hospice. They were of great comfort to our family. Cathy had many good friends from work and school and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
