Carolyn Wostal

Carolyn Grace Wostal, 81, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. She was born November 20, 1933 in Beaumont, Texas. She was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Orange Grove, Texas, the Jim Wells County Fair Association Board, a 4-H Leader, and active with the Senior Citizens in Corpus Christi and Mathis, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob “Jake” Wostal; her son, Gordon Alex Wostal; her parents, Gordon Lindsay Pugh, Sr. and Thelma Wooldridge Pugh; and a brother, Gordon Lindsay Pugh, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Claudia (John) Sifferd and Charlene (Mike) Sandroussi all of Corpus Christi, Texas; her sister, Nelda Gammel of Corpus Christi, Texas; her grandchildren, Christopher Jacob (Amanda) Sandroussi, Michael John Sandroussi, Cody Allen (Amanda) Bauman and Sara Gail (Ernest) Garza; her great grandchildren, Emma Garza, Everly Garza, Bryson Bauman and Maleia Bauman; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will begin at 5 P.M. Monday, June 15, 2015. The Rosary will be recited at 7 P.M. Monday, June 15, 2015 all at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 A.M. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Seamus McGown as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. John of the Cross Catholic Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.
