Carolyn Kay Johnson, 76, was heavenly embraced by our Lord on June 30, 2023. She was born on October 20, 1946 to her parents, Edith and Gilbert Schwarz in Kerrville, Texas.
Carolyn was the most beautiful soul who shared her passion and deep love for the Lord with everyone around her. This made her a beloved wife, mother, Oma, friend, and mentor.
She loved spending one on one time and gatherings with her loved ones at the ranch. There was nothing like a conversation with Oma, she always knew what to say and had such a perfect way with words to comfort us. She blessed us with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding for whatever situation was going on, and she made our lives and minds at peace.
She showered each and every one of her loved ones with immense love, prayers, and guidance. We are so blessed to have spent such a long, healthy, and beautiful life with her creating lasting memories.
Carolyn would always say “there are no tears in Heaven,” and we encourage everyone to not mourn her departure to Christ, but instead celebrate in remembrance of her beautiful life as well as the imprints she left on the hearts of everyone around her. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald T. Johnson; son, Brett Halcom; brother, Calvy Schwarz; and sisters, Sandy Hedly and Debby Mallia.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Justin Halcom, Joey Johnson and Lucky Halcom; step children, Doug Johnson and Martha Johnson; daughters-in-law, Jeannie Miller and Carmen Halcom; grandchildren, Dustin Halcom, Ashley Halcom, Caira Johnson, Lana Johnson, August Johnson, Aurora Johnson, Keiara Halcom, Cody Halcom, Laramie Miller, Chavin Miller and Jacob Miller; sister in law, Sherian Dupont and family friends, Shana McCain and Margaret Dippel.
The visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 12:30PM with the funeral service to follow at 1:30PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home chapel where Bro. Robert Simmons will officiate. Private entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
