Camden Alan Naismith, born June 7, 1993, 24 years old, fought a long battle with muscular dystrophy and passed from this life on Monday, August 14, 2017. He was peaceful and surrounded by family and his closest friends. Camden's closest friends included people with whom he only had contact online, nurses, and hospice professionals. He made amazing friends at Senior Care of Corpus Christi, Vista del Mar Health and Rehabilitation, and New Century Hospice. He is survived by his father, James M. Naismith; mother, Andrea D. Naismith; sister, Lora K. Naismith; brother, John S. Naismith; sister, Sarah E. Naismith; brother, James M. Naismith, Jr. (Stephanie); sister, Trista L. Ranton (Michael); paternal grandparents James P. and Beverly Naismith; maternal grandparents, Harold D. and Norma Morphis; maternal great-grandmother, Edna L. Knapp; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Camden gained the love and admiration of everyone who had the distinct honor of knowing him. Camden was one of the strongest, bravest, most determined young men we will ever know. You are forever loved and will be missed far and wide. Visitation will be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home. Camden would prefer casual dress. A private family (and closest friends) burial will be held at Seaside Memorial Cemetery at 2:30pm on Thursday, contact the family for details. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
