Bob Eads, 75, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at his home after an illness surrounded by his family. He was born June 24, 1937 in Sherman, Texas to Charles Sullivan Eads and Mabel Louise Shelby Eads. Bob served his country in the U. S. Air Force, was a graduate of Sunset School of Preaching, serving as a gospel minister and missionary throughout his life. Bob was one of the top ten managers for Kroger Foods, was a store director for H.E.B., was a successful entrepreneur with businesses in childcare centers and lawn care services, earned two masters degrees and taught public school and coached. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Marvin, Alvin and Alton Eads and a grandson, Joshua Brooks Johnson. He is survived by his wife of over 57 years, Emma Ruth Eads; his daughter, Twila Ruth (Kenny) Johnson of Kingsville, Texas; his sons, Mark Edward (Shawna) Eads of San Marcos, Texas and Nicky Wayne Eads of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Kendra Leigh (Jimmy) Houston of Houston, Texas, Kayla Marie Johnson of Houston, Texas, Amanda Lynn (Matt) Fox of South Weber, Utah, Megan Elisa (Jeff) Hackman of San Marcos, Texas and Tyler Wayne (Courtney) Eads of Austin, Texas; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1 P.M. until 8 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Sawyer-George Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Arlington Heights Church of Christ with David Srygley officiating. Burial will follow in Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas. Pallbearers will be Zane Rhyne, George Harrison, Presley Orsburn, Wayne Williams, Jim Flaherty, Joe Carver, Tom Cooper and Dale Mathis.
